Photographing baby, month after month
The milestones marking the first year — awakening, smile, sitting, first steps.
Baby photography after the newborn session has nothing to do with it. Deep sleep gave way to awakening. 'Sleeping' poses no longer work. But another richness opens: the smile appearing around 6 weeks, sitting around 6 months, crawling, first steps. Each stage has its session, its frame, its gestures.
Awakening session — 2 to 4 months
At 2–4 months, baby holds their head, smiles readily, fixes their gaze. It is the age of first expressive portraits. The session is at the studio, on neutral background or soft decor, with or without parents.
Sitting session — 5 to 7 months
At 5–7 months, baby sits alone or with small support. It is the age of front portraits, with a toy, sometimes with a cake for 'smash cake' variants. The studio has adapted accessories: basket, baby seat, colored backgrounds.
First steps session — 11 to 13 months
Around 11–13 months, baby moves. It is the age of movement sessions, standing, sometimes outdoors. Direction differs: you follow, you wait, you photograph the gesture rather than the pose.
Continuity pack
For families wanting to document the whole first year, a continuity pack combines maternity, newborn, awakening, sitting and first steps sessions. Single contact, visual consistency between series, unified year album at end.

A comforter or familiar object yes. The studio also provides accessories, toys, age-appropriate backgrounds.
